Church looks a bit different right now...but that doesn't mean we don't want to get to know you. Please click here to read about what church during Covid-19 looks like at Cornerstone.
You May Be Wondering...
We are a medium sized church with a diverse group in terms of age, occupation, marital status, lifestyle, and physical ability. We are affiliated with the Christian Reformed Church. Whether you’ve been attending church for years or this is your first time, you are welcome here.
We have a service every Sunday morning at 10 AM. Each service lasts about 60-80 minutes. If you have nursery aged kids it might be wise to try to get to the service 10-15 minutes early to check them in and find a seat.
Door Greeters, hosts at the Information Booth, and ushers are on duty to answer questions and help you navigate through your morning with us. We’re even wearing name tags to make things a little easier for you. Feel free to call someone by name and ask a question.
Ushers will provide you a bulletin. Please sit wherever you feel most comfortable. You will be able to follow along with the service outline in the bulletin.
Afterwards, you are invited to join us for coffee and mingle in the Fellowship Hall - it’s up to you! But we would love the opportunity to welcome you further!
We mix contemporary and traditional songs into a fairly structured worship order. You will see from our older building and modern instruments what to expect. Each service is 60-80 minutes which includes a 20-30 minute teaching aimed at engaging scripture and applying it to life. We aim to enter into dialogue with God in worship through different prayers, songs, and reflections on scripture and God’s will for our lives.
Nursery care is available for your little one (ages newborn-3 years old). Children’s Ministries, for children ages 3 to Grade 3, takes place during the service (September-June). Kids in Children’s Ministries join us in worship at the beginning, and then are dismissed to worship God in another place fairly early on in the service.
It’s up to you. A lot of our members will wear semi-formal attire, collared shirts and dress pants, but if you feel more comfortable in jeans, you do you!
Yes. Both entrances to our building, main and back entrance, foyer, sanctuary (space of worship), Fellowship Hall, Children’s Ministries classrooms, nursery, and washrooms are barrier free. Accessible parking is available in the front and back parking lots.
If you are in need of hearing or visual aids, please let one of the ushers know and they will be happy to assist you.
